About
Launch IQ
Every pharmaceutical launch is a decision no one gets to make twice. Launch IQ takes them apart, one a week, so you can learn from them without having to live through them.
Why this exists
Commercial teams in biotech and pharma learn launches the expensive way: by running one. Most people will lead a handful in an entire career. The rest of the field's knowledge sits locked inside companies that have no reason to share it, or gets flattened into a conference slide that tells you what happened but never why.
That assembly is the work. Launch IQ turns each launch into a story you can read in fifteen minutes, followed by a structured breakdown of the strategy behind it.
How each case works
The nine areas
The Academy
Cases assume you know how commercialization works. The Academy is where that gets explained: short modules on the concepts a case raises, organised by the same nine areas. Read one when a launch mentions something you want to understand properly, then go back to the case.
Between the two, the library shows you what companies actually did, and the Academy shows you the machinery behind it.
Who it's for
Commercial leads, marketers, market access and pricing teams, medical affairs, business development, and anyone in biotech who will one day be in the room where these calls get made. It assumes you know the industry. It does not assume you have run a launch before.
Standards
Claims are labelled. Anything marked Fact traces to a source in that case's ledger; anything marked Analysis is commercial judgment. Public records are incomplete, so cases are revised and dated as launches play out. The full position is on the terms page.
Who writes it
Matt Stange. Over a decade of launch experience in biotech and pharma commercialization, across field leadership, launch strategy, and commercial operations. Launch IQ is a solo publication, which is the reason it is one launch a week rather than five, and the reason every case has a citation ledger attached to it.
One launch. Every week.
The commercial thinking behind every major pharmaceutical launch, told properly and sourced completely.
